Fire safety

Enjoy your candles for longer by burning them in the correct fireproof way.

Fire safety

We understand that you want to enjoy your candles as soon as possible. However, it is important to observe a few rules when it comes to burning candles.

  • Never leave a candle unattended.

  • Never position a candle near flammable objects. Think of curtains, decorative plumes or other objects that can catch fire.

  • Place the candle on a stable and level surface. Also, do not place the candle under to another surface: heat will build up here.

  • Never burn a candle for more than 4 hours in a row. For container candles, this may lead to breaking the containter. For dinner candles you want to make sure the wick doesn't get to long, hence the need to cut the wick inbetween.

Enjoy your candle longer

Did you know that there are hacks that can make your candle burn better and longer?

  • Keep a distance of at least 10 cm between candles.

  • Do you burn a candle in several times? Between firing, cut the wick to a length of about 6-8 mm where necessary. By not leaving the wick too long, you will get a nicer and more even flame.

  • Do not place a candle in a place with a lot of draft. Due to a draft, the candle cannot burn in a calm way thereby reducing the burning time.

  • In the case of a candle in a container: only blow out the candle when the entire top layer has become liquid. Failure to do so will result in tunneling of your candle.
